Building the church. Serving the community. Reaching the nations.

Life Groups

Life Groups

Life Groups are what we call our small groups that meet on a Tuesday every fortnight within term time.

We have three priorities for Life Groups. Firstly, they are about us sharing lives by providing a place where we can become family together, sharing encouragements and challenges, and be real and eat together. Secondly, they help us engage truth by building on the Sunday teaching, reading the bible, listening, learning and applying biblical truth together. They are also about praying together, where we can experience God’s presence, use spiritual gifts, stand with one another and pray for our witnessing opportunities.

We currently have six Life Groups meeting in Oxted, Limpsfield, Hurst Green, Edenbridge, South Godstone and Caterham, as well as a daytime group for ladies in Oxted.

Other groups that meet regularly in the life of the church are:

King’s Men

The men typically gather on the second Saturday of the month between 8.30 and 10am, often starting at the King’s Centre and sometimes ending at The Oxted Inn (Wetherspoons).

As well as sharing breakfast together these mornings often include one of the guys sharing some inspiration from the Bible to fuel discussion and prayer. They also have other events throughout the year, such as Lazertag and curry evenings.

King’s Women

The ladies tend to get together on the first Saturday of the month between 2 and 4pm at the King’s Centre.

As well as enjoying tea and cake together these afternoons provide an opportunity to share lives and meet with God in a safe and relaxed environment. They also have other events throughout the year, often involving food.

PJ Smyth

Those who want to be Christians in earnest and who profess the gospel with hand and mouth should sign their names and meet alone in a house somewhere to pray, read, baptise, receive the sacrament (bread and wine) and to do other Christian works.

Martin Luther

For where two or three have gathered together in My name, I am there in their midst.

Jesus Christ

Life groups are where Christians can naturally share their lives, be shaped by God’s timeless truth and experience being family together.
