Building the church. Serving the community. Reaching the nations.

Leadership

Leadership

Both men and women lead the various areas of church life at King’s. A mixture of staff and volunteers head up Life Groups, run courses and take responsibility for Sunday mornings. Below we provide a brief description of who’s who, look out for them if you pop in to the office or join us on a Sunday.

Dale

Dale is an elder particularly responsible for the teaching and vision of the church, and for leading our Reaching The Nations activities. He’s married to Jayne who leads one of our prayer ministry teams and they have three adult girls.

Tim

Tim is an elder particularly responsible for our Building The Church activities. He’s married to Carrie who leads the Baby Café, providing care and support for parents of new-borns, and they have two teenage girls.

Sarah

Sarah leads our Serving The Community activities and oversees the Spectrum Centre to equip parents and build families. She’s married to Malcolm who oversees the church finances and they have three children.

Quincey

Quincey leads our youth work and Sharing The Gospel activities, which includes the Just Looking and Alpha Courses. He’s married to Sophie who is part of the Alpha team.

Claire

Claire oversees our children’s work including the Friday Club and Holiday Club as well as the Sunday morning groups. She also has two children of her own.

Kevin

Kevin leads our prayer team and is a regular face at the front on Sunday mornings. He’s married to Liz and they have four grown up children and an ever-increasing number of grandchildren.

James & Becca

James & Becca lead our Connect Team that welcome guests on Sunday and helps to integrate newcomers into the life of the church. James also heads up the PA Team.

Jim

Jim leads our worship team, so will be one of the first faces you see on Sunday mornings. He’s married to Mandy and they have five children, two still at home.

Deb

Deb is our administrator who’ll probably be at the end of any call or email to the church office and the first person you meet if you visit the King’s Centre between 10am and 4pm on Monday to Thursday. She’s enjoying becoming a grandmother for the first time.

Rosemary

Rosemary fulfils the very important role of Child Protection Officer. Please refer any concerns about child safety directly to her at safeguarding@kingschurchoxted.com. She also leads the King’s Women and has two boys.

This is just a few of the people who serve as leaders within King’s Church and others we’re sure you’ll get to know over time.
