What is Alpha?

We believe that everyone should have the chance to explore faith, ask questions, and share their point of view. Alpha is a series of sessions exploring the Christian faith. Each talk looks at a different question around faith and is designed to create conversation. Alpha is run all around the globe, and everyone’s welcome. It runs online, in cafés, churches, universities, homes—you name it. No two Alphas look the same, but generally they have three key things in common: hospitality, a talk and good conversation.

Course Programme

What to expect

At King’s a typical Alpha evening runs from 8–9:45pm and consists of a brief talk followed by discussion where guests can say as much or as little as they like. Half way through the evening we stop for desserts/cake before further discussion. We want anyone who tries Alpha to be able to express their opinion freely with no fear of condemnation or rebuttal. If your opinion doesn’t line up with ours then that is absolutely fine! So why not come and try Alpha? Details of the next course can be found on our Events page via the below button.
